Antichrist Exposed pg. 3

In our prior study we saw that there was to exist a systematic inclination of lawlessness within the professed Christian church. We also saw that antichrist has one primary goal, and that is to set itself up  “in the place” of the true Jesus Christ. In the Bible book of Daniel chapter 7, there is revealed to us a power that would rise up in our world which verse 25 says it  “shall intend to change times and law.” Now there is not much significance in an attempt to change the law of a particular nation or kingdom but for someone to attempt to change the law of God, it is a wholly different matter altogether. Even though it is not possible to change the Holy Law of God (see Romans 7: 12 ), the fact that it would be attempted is another point whereby all may see and know for certain the identity of the antichrist power warned about in scripture. Another key that will help us unlock the meaning of this subject is the fact that the antichrist power would speak as though he is God (see verse 25 of Daniel 7 ). In Revelation 13 verses 5 and 6 is another illustration depicting the same power as Daniel. These verses reveal essentially the same thing except we are told that it would speak blasphemies. Now keeping with our policy of allowing the Bible to interpret itself (see 2nd Peter 1: 20 ) we will look at how the Bible defines the word blasphemy. In John  chapter 10 and verses 32 and 33 we are told that the people were going to stone Jesus for what they defined as blasphemy because they thought Jesus was only a man making Himself out to be God. So we see here that to pretend to be God is blaspemy. The book of Mark chapter 2 and verse 7 shows that it is blasphemy for a mere man to claim to forgive sin. So here in this study we see over again that Antichrist desires to take the place of Jesus Christ our true Creator and Redeemer.
